The Ever-so-Charming Rudzik
Here’s one handsome young man who was happy to be “locked down” at home in 2020 – that’s because 6 months before he didn’t have a home!
This boy was an “ear tipped” cat, neutered by Kotor Kitties in the summer of 2019. Then something dreadful happened—we don’t know what—which had a dire impact on his tail.
Rudzik was then found by a tourist in September 2019. The 1st photo in this set shows how he was found. He had his tail amputated at Vet Port Kotor, and as he recovered there, he charmed the clinic with his easy-going nature. We give a big THANK YOU to anyone who donated to Rudzik’s care – you changed his life!
The tourist had offered him a home with her, but taking an animal out of Montenegro is not easy. Rudzik had had the necessary vaccinations and microchip – but he had to wait a few months for a blood test (titre) to show he was immune to rabies.
Montenegro is very short of foster homes for cats, but fortunately, a wonderful foster carer could take him and care for him while he waited. In February 2020 he travelled to his “furrever” home in Belgium. See him now with his new best friend, having landed on his paws.
