Klopchik: From Bald Kitten to Fabulous Feline

Klopchik was found in Herceg Novi by our volunteer on one of those hot summer days when it is absolutely unbearable to be outside. The little kitten was just lying on the footpath in the open sun. It was a skin-bound creature with sparse fur, and both eyes were infected and covered with pus. It was simply impossible to pass by.

The kitten was taken to the veterinarian Dr. Bozo Perisić, where his eyes were washed and treated, and a vitamin cocktail was injected. Since the boy was tiny, he needed artificial nutrition. Fortunately, the formula and baby cat bottle were kindly provided by a local volunteer, nice lady Irina Manina from Zelenika.

Every day for one and a half months, Klopchik had his eyes treated and was fed from a bottle twice a day. It was necessary at all costs to save his eyes. Klopchik was taken to a consultation with Dr. Relja Ćetković, then examined in Podgorica, at the request of Zhanna Kaganovskaya.

This story has a happy continuation. Klopchik moved to Moscow (Russia) along with his rescuer. He was twice treated for infections, sterilized and vaccinated. He has a fine velvety coat, sees with both eyes, but with one eye "cannot read", as the veterinarian-ophthalmologist said. This does not prevent him from being a cheerful and reckless boy!
